How we hold this quality

Quality planned at quoting

Tolerance, finish and inspection requirements are captured when the part is quoted, so the process is built around them instead of inspected for them afterwards.

In-process checks

Operators verify defined features during the run — the point at which a drift can still be corrected economically.

Independent verification

Final inspection is performed separately from production, so the check is not self-assessed.

Controlled change

Any change to process, material or supplier is reviewed for its effect on the drawing before it is applied to a customer order.

Consistency comes from control, not from hope. The difference between a supplier who ships the same part twice and one who does not is usually visible in the planning stage, long before anything is measured.

How the control works

  1. At quoting — tolerance, finish, material and documentation requirements are captured.
  2. Before production — an inspection plan identifies critical features and how they are held and measured.
  3. During production — operator checks at defined intervals, with first article approval on new tooling.
  4. Before shipment — independent final inspection, documentation assembly and packing to protect the finish.
  5. After shipment — records are retained against the order so questions can be answered with data.

Documentation we can supply

First article inspection reports, dimensional reports, material certificates, finish certificates and certificates of conformity. Tell us which of these your project requires when you request a quote, so they are scheduled with the order rather than added afterwards.

Do you work to a documented quality system?

We operate a documented quality process covering inspection planning, in-process control, non-conformance handling and traceability, and we produce the records to match. Ask us for the specific documentation your project requires — including certificates of conformity — when you request a quote.

What happens when a part fails inspection?

The affected parts are quarantined, the cause is identified (process, tooling, material or measurement), and we agree rework or replacement with you before anything is shipped.

Can you supply a certificate of conformity?

Yes, with material and finish certificates where applicable. Tell us at the quotation stage so the documentation is scheduled with the order.
