Powder coating delivers a hard, uniform finish that resists chipping and weathering far better than a thin decorative paint. For steel enclosures, frames and brackets, it is usually the most cost-effective finish available.
What drives the result
Three things decide whether a powder coat looks right in a year: the pre-treatment, the film thickness and the cure. Skipping the phosphate stage causes early corrosion under the film; uneven film build shows as orange-peel; under-curing reduces chemical resistance.
Masking and fit
Coating adds 60–120 µm to every surface. On a threaded hole or a press-fit bore, that is enough to change the fit, so threads and mating surfaces are masked as standard on functional parts. Tell us which faces must stay bare — including any grounding points.
